As I drove last night I followed the election results and the President Elect's acceptance speech on XM radio.

As I listened felt that he had a good point when speaking about the 106 year old woman in Atlanta and all she had seen in her lifetime.

I am not going to get into candidates or views. Who ever you voted for is cool with me.

What struck me as he spoke of this woman was the challenges that our GrandParents, and Great Grandparents faced and overcame in their lifetimes. I thought about this a bit and realized that they overcame a War and a Depression because they pulled together as a Nation. That comment has been made quite a few times by both candidates in the past few months. And I feel at least on that issue they are both right.

It makes me feel that now it is Our turn to pull together and put aside our differences to fix the mess, wether we are responsible or not.

I realized last night that the most important things do not involve the size of my house, or the car that I drive
Right now I guess they are.....

A Roof over my Head
Food on the Table
Clothes on my Back
A Steady Job
Family and Friends to share the good times with and help out through the ones that are not so good.

Ok all you rebs and rebettes, the offical scoop is out and for only $99.99 you too can have your very own dvd of the story of "joe greer and Heather hardy" this tale of a love in time goes down the memories of yester year and takes you on a voyage from eastlake middle school in 1982 where a quiet and shy young lady saw the boy of her dreams only to keep quiet and hear those awful words'i just want to be friends.' would she survive, yes and on a beautiful day at willoughby south high in 1984 her dreams would almost come true, that cute boy told her how beautiful she looked and her heart learned to love that day. unfortunatly her love would have to last another 24 years when she would once more see that love of her life and tell him 'where were you the last 17 yrs?' a tale as old as time and a love that would come alive one warm summer night at bumpers in mentor, ohio in 2008. Now our couple finds the fun of juggling time together along with the 7 kids they have. who knows how the story will end? some say he proposes to her during a donnie osmand concert some say he runs for the hills screammmmming so if you want to add this love story to your collection just send $99.99 to the miss kitty fund and you too can share in the joy of love, laughter, and utter crazzzzzyness called life! lol then again i am sure you all have that crazyness already! lol
Truthfully Joe and I are dating and things are going soooo great! It has been like a dream come true for me and him and so far our kids seem to really like one another. we are so excited to see where this all leads and as each day passes we touch on the subject of marriage and dream of the day we can become one big family. we also want to thank those of you who have supported us and given us many kinds words of encouragment! Joe is truely my prince charming and I feel like the luckiest girl in the world. I thank God each day for sending him back to me after such a long time, I plan on keeping him in my arms till the day i die. lol ~i~

Well Heather, I went to Willoughby Jr so I was not aware of this love story. It is beautiful and I am so happy for you. You are a riot. With the economy the way it is I can't think of a better way to spend $99. Have a great weekend!

I have been in their company since the reunion, and this reporter can say that they truly look happy together.

OMG!, I never knew! I am excited for you both. You are two awesome people who deserve to be happy! Make sure to keep us posted!
On a sad note, I'm not sure if anyone is aware or not, but Alicia Hostetler's mom passed away this past week. She had a severe stroke last weekend, and died on Thursday. She was only 60 years old. Her wake is tomorrow, Sunday, Nov. 16th at Brunner. The calling hours are 1-5. I plan on going around 3:00. I think it's important to support each other in tough times! After all, our class of 88' really is GREAT!!! When is the next reunion??? Don't forget the party on May 1st. The tickets are being printed, and will go on sale soon! Take care!

11/16/08 07:43 PM #54

Heather Hardy

LOL Linda and Pete! I am glad we can bring some joy to the class and there is talk of a reb wedding so we may just have to have a early reunion so everyone can be there! lol

Tracy thank you so much for letting us know about Alicia's mom, I just got this message and wish I had checked sooner so I could have been there. It is good that we can all support eachother and i pray for her and her family. It is never easy to see another classmate/friend go through this stuff. :(
